RIVALS peaked at 349,032 people playing at the same moment in the past 30 days, according to the public tracker Rolimons. That's more than eight times the peak of any other shooter we checked, and it makes the top spot the clearest call in this ranking.
Below it, new games are breaking through. Two of our eight launched within the past year, and both are sniper games: One Tap in December 2025 and Sniper Arena in January 2026.
Meanwhile, some of the best-known names have faded. Arsenal, which peaked at 152,613 concurrent players in October 2020, drew no more than 4,933 at once in the past 30 days, which is under our crowd bar.
For this list, a shooter means a game built around gunfights, against other players or against the game itself. Duel games built around knives are left to other lists, for reasons given in the section on omissions.
What is the best Roblox shooter game in 2026? RIVALS is our No. 1 Roblox shooter for October 2026, ahead of Hypershot and Sniper Arena. All eight picks are built around gunfights, peaked above 5,000 concurrent players in the past 30 days, per Rolimons, held at least 70 percent positive votes and were updated within four weeks.
Types Of Roblox Shooter Games: Duels, Arenas, Battles And Hordes
Every game on this list puts a gun in your hands, but they differ in who you fight and how a match is won. That difference decides whether you need a team.
Here's how the eight sort by format:
- Duels. RIVALS matches run from 1v1 to 5v5, first to five wins, and Hypershot offers 1v1 and 2v2 duels alongside its other modes.
- Arenas. Sniper Arena and One Tap are sniper battles, and One Tap's page describes a free-for-all with no teams.
- Rounds and big battles. BloxStrike runs tactical 5v5 rounds with an objective to plant or defuse, and Cold War [VIETNAM] fits up to 80 players into one server.
- Co-op against the game. Guts & Blackpowder pits a group of survivors against a zombie horde, and Examination sends players into an irradiated nuclear plant.
No format is better on its own. That said, average sessions run longer in the big-battle and co-op games, at about 16 to 18 minutes in Cold War [VIETNAM], Guts & Blackpowder and Examination against 9 to 13 minutes in the other five.

By 30-day peak, the five biggest shooters we checked are RIVALS, Hypershot, One Tap, Sniper Arena and Cold War [VIETNAM]. Knife Duels and Murder Duels come next, and both are missing from our eight for a reason given in the section on omissions.
What is the most popular Roblox shooter right now? RIVALS, by its 30-day peak of 349,032 concurrent players, more than eight times Hypershot's 42,647, according to Rolimons on the afternoon of October 15, 2026. At the moment we checked, RIVALS had 117,477 players online, more than the other seven picks combined.

How We Ranked These
This is an editorial ranking built on public information, and here's exactly where the numbers come from. Player counts, approval ratings and session lengths are from Rolimons, captured in the afternoon of October 15, 2026, and they change by the hour.
To find the candidates, we started from Roblox's own Shooter genre, taking the games filed there with about 1,500 or more players online when we pulled the full game list that afternoon. We added three shooters that Roblox files under other genres, Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5, Tactical: Swat Simulator and Underground War 2.0, for 41 in all.
First, every game had to clear the same four bars:
- Built around gunfights. Gun combat against other players or against the game itself. Duel games built around knives and a hunting simulator are left out.
- A live crowd. A 30-day peak of at least 5,000 concurrent players. The smallest crowd among our eight is that of Guts & Blackpowder, at 20,003.
- Players who like it. At least 70 percent of player votes positive, as Rolimons reports them from each game's Roblox page. The median approval across the 41 shooters we checked was 90.0 percent.
- A developer still shipping. Every game had to be updated within four weeks, and all eight were updated in the 14 days before our snapshot.
Of the 41, 23 clear all four bars, and none of the 23 failed our hold test, which sets aside a game whose 7-day peak is under a quarter of its 30-day peak. Our eight are the biggest of those 23 by 30-day peak.
From there, the order weighs three things: the crowd a game is holding this week, how much players like it and how long it has held a crowd. We judge all three from public numbers, and we read each game's own Roblox page for what it offers.
That's why the list doesn't simply follow the player counts. One Tap drew a bigger crowd this week than BloxStrike, but its approval of 87.9 percent is the lowest of the eight, nearly seven points under BloxStrike's.
The Adellion score beside each game is our editorial judgment out of 10. It's a summary of the case made in the write-up, and it isn't a measurement.

Each game must be built around gunfights, have a 30-day peak of at least 5,000 concurrent players, hold at least 70 percent positive votes and have been updated within four weeks. The list is the eight biggest by 30-day peak, ordered by this week's crowd, approval and track record. Numbers are from Rolimons.
The Best Roblox Shooter Games To Play In October 2026
Each entry below opens with who made the game and the numbers behind its place, and it says why the game sits where it does.
1. RIVALS — 9.3
RIVALS keeps the format simple. By its page's account, you challenge another player by stepping on a duel pad, and matches run from 1v1 to 5v5, with the first side to five wins taking it.
It's also the biggest of the 41 shooters we checked by a wide margin. Its 30-day peak of 349,032 concurrent players is more than eight times that of No. 2, and its all-time record of 967,342 came on February 14, 2026.
What's more, the awards agree. RIVALS won Best Shooter at the 2026 Roblox Innovation Awards, where Nosniy Games was also named Best Studio, per PocketGamer.biz, and its page lists a Best Shooter Experience win from 2025 as well.
Progress comes from keys, which unlock new weapons and skins, and from contracts with exclusive rewards. Its page lists desktop, phones, tablets, Xbox and PlayStation 5.
Play it if you want quick duels and the biggest crowd to find them in.
2. Hypershot — 9.1
Hypershot leans on variety. Its page lists Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Free for All and Gun Game among its modes, and it invites you to team up with friends to challenge rivals to 1v1 or 2v2 duels.
It also adds abilities to the gunplay, and coins and gems unlock new weapons, skins and abilities. It launched on May 17, 2024, nine days before RIVALS.
Its crowd is holding, too. Its 7-day peak of 40,901 came four days before our snapshot, close to its 30-day peak of 42,647, and its record of 101,177 dates from January 31, 2026.
In addition, its approval of 94.4 percent is second of the eight, behind only BloxStrike. Its Roblox label is Mild, for repeated mild violence and mild crude humor.

3. Sniper Arena — 8.9
Sniper Arena's page promises one thing: fast sniper battles, with ranked matches for players who want rewards for winning.
It's also one of 2026's breakout shooters. It launched on January 10, 2026, and set its all-time record of 29,886 concurrent players six days before our snapshot.
Its page makes a point of fairness, too, saying skins are cosmetic only, with no stat boosts and no pay-to-win. Skins come from crates, and a player-driven market lets you sell them for in-game cash.
It edges No. 5, One Tap, on approval. The two drew the same crowd this week, nine players apart, but Sniper Arena's approval of 91.8 percent is nearly four points higher.
Plus, playing with friends earns 20 percent more in-match credits, and the page lists desktop, phones, tablets, Xbox and PlayStation 5.
Play it if you want sniper battles on a level field, since its skins are cosmetic only.
4. BloxStrike — 8.7
BloxStrike is the tactical pick. Its page describes round-based matches between two teams of five, in which one side plants an objective and the other defuses it, and the cash you earn each round buys weapons, utility and gear for the next.
The page calls this tactical shooter gameplay inspired by the classics. It sits fourth because of this week's crowd: its 7-day peak of 22,452 trails Sniper Arena's 29,886.
Players rate it the highest of our eight, at 94.7 percent. That 7-day peak is also its all-time record, set four days before our snapshot, and its title advertised a new map.
Moreover, skins carry patterns and wear in what its page calls an evolving skin economy. Roblox labels it Mild, and its label notes heavy but unrealistic blood.
Play it if you want rounds where strategy and teamwork count as much as aim.
5. One Tap — 8.5
One Tap opens its page with “Boom Headshot!” and describes a free-for-all sniper arena with no teams. Snipers kill in one shot, and secondary weapons in two, or one to the head.
Its 30-day peak of 33,093 ranks third of the eight, and its record of 42,876 came on September 5, 2026, nine months after its December 2025 launch. By crowd alone, it would rank higher.
However, approval puts it fifth: its 87.9 percent is the lowest of the eight.
Its sessions are the shortest of the eight, too, at about nine minutes on average. Progress runs through more than 70 weapon skins and cases you roll for rare cosmetics.
Play it if you want fast sniper rounds you can drop into for a few minutes.
6. Guts & Blackpowder — 8.3
Guts & Blackpowder sets its fight in the Napoleonic Wars. Its page describes the undead rising from the ground and a group of survivors holding out against the horde, armed only with muskets and swords.
It's one of two games among our eight in which the whole team plays against the game, and the other is No. 8, Examination.
This week brought its biggest crowd of the month, a 7-day peak of 20,003 five days before our snapshot. Its all-time record of 50,975 dates from June 27, 2026.
Players rate it third of the eight, at 94.1 percent, and it has been live since January 2023. Its page also sets rules against griefing and stalling rounds.
Keep in mind that Roblox labels it Moderate for light but realistic blood, moderate violence and repeated mild fear, which the section on kids below explains.
Play it if you want to hold a line with friends against a zombie horde.
7. Cold War [VIETNAM] — 8.1
Cold War [VIETNAM] goes for scale. Up to 80 players per server fight across destructible environments in an alternate history where the Cold War turns hot, with realistic loadouts in what its page calls a simcade combat experience.
Indeed, its servers are the largest of the eight, at 80 players, against 40 for RIVALS, whose matches top out at 5v5.
It set its all-time record of 24,598 concurrent players two weeks before our snapshot. However, its 7-day peak of 12,952 is about half of that and well under No. 6's 20,003, which is why it sits seventh.
Note that its page says all scenarios are fictional, and the game was last updated 13 days before our snapshot, the longest gap among our eight. Roblox gives it a Moderate label for light but realistic blood and moderate violence.
Play it if you want large-scale battles over quick duels.
8. Examination — 7.9
Examination is a PvE horror shooter. You're one of the later waves sent to clear an irradiated nuclear power plant turned laboratory after an outbreak its page calls WE-30, and nobody knows what became of the waves before you.
It's the oldest game on this list, live since July 2022, and its sessions run the longest of the eight, at about 18 minutes.
Its best moment is recent: it set its all-time record of 21,681 concurrent players three weeks before our snapshot. Yet its 7-day peak of 8,747 is about two-fifths of that, the smallest of the eight this week.
Be aware that its page calls it a heavy work in progress and a passion project, so expect bugs. It also recommends a private server and graphics quality of 7 or higher, and it warns that the game is challenging.
Its Moderate label from Roblox covers light but realistic blood, moderate violence and occasional moderate fear.
Play it if you want a hard co-op horror shooter and don't mind rough edges.

Most of our picks are built for a group, although only two of the eight mention friends on their pages. Here's what each of the team-friendly picks offers a squad, starting with the two where the whole group plays on one side:

New Roblox Shooters In 2026
Two of our eight picks launched within the past year: One Tap in December 2025 and Sniper Arena in January 2026. In addition, three April 2026 shooters outside our eight are worth knowing, with figures from Rolimons on October 15, 2026:
- Deagle Arena. A free-for-all in which everyone carries the same pistol, with competitive ranking. It clears our bars, with a 30-day peak of 19,290 and 87.5 percent approval, and it's the next game in line after our eight.
- TTK Testing. Its page promises weekly and sometimes daily updates, and it describes a report system that can replay any match in 3D to check whether someone was exploiting. It has a 30-day peak of 14,351 and 91.0 percent approval.
- AirDrop Arena. You skydive into the map, land where you like and pick any weapon for free, and air drops spawn what its page calls legendary weapons. Its 97.3 percent approval is the highest of the 41 shooters we checked, but its 30-day peak of 9,928 is under half that of any of our eight.
None of them makes the eight, since all three drew smaller crowds than our picks this month. We'll check all three again when the list is rebuilt.
What are the newest Roblox shooter games in 2026? Sniper Arena, launched on January 10, 2026, is the newest game on our October list, according to Rolimons on October 15. Deagle Arena, TTK Testing and AirDrop Arena, all from April 2026, also clear our bars, and Tribes 3v3, about two weeks old, is newer still but under our approval bar.
Who Missed The Cut
A few big names are missing from the list. Each was weighed, and the notable omissions include:
- Knife Duels and Murder Duels. With 30-day peaks of 24,354 and 23,689, they're the sixth- and seventh-biggest of the 41, and Roblox files both under Shooter. However, both are duel games built around knives: Knife Duels centers on knife combat, and Murder Duels pairs a knife with a revolver, so they miss our first bar.
- Arsenal and Phantom Forces. Two of the oldest shooters we checked, both live since August 2015. Their 30-day peaks, 4,933 and 3,691, are under our crowd bar.
- Operation One and Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5. Both clear our bars, but their 30-day peaks, 18,307 and 7,702, are smaller than any of our eight's. Operation One is a 4v4 tactical game its page says is in early development, and Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5, an open-world tactical shooter, has been live since March 2019.
- Notoriety: A PAYDAY® Experience. A first-person co-op heist shooter with 92.5 percent approval. Its 30-day peak of 6,202 is less than a third of any of our eight's.
The list isn't fixed. A strong update can change a 30-day peak within a week, and we rebuild the ranking when games launch, close or change enough to move a place.

Five of our eight are labeled Mild for repeated mild violence, with heavy but unrealistic blood added for BloxStrike and mild crude humor for Hypershot, and three are labeled Moderate for light but realistic blood and moderate violence: Guts & Blackpowder, Cold War [VIETNAM] and Examination.
That matters for younger players. Roblox Kids accounts, for ages 5 to 8, open only Minimal and Mild games that have passed an extra review, and Roblox Select accounts, for ages 9 to 15, add Moderate games that have passed it, so by default the three Moderate picks are out of reach on a Kids account, as our Roblox safety settings guide explains.
